Autumn

Very soon winter will be here. I always feel a bit apprehensive at this time of year, going into the cold and dark wintertime. Will it treat me well this year? Will it be harsh or mild?
The last winters have been extremely mild, with + temperatures and the frost not going under 10°C. But this summer was cold in Iceland, unlike last years that was so good (when my photo in the sidebar was taken!); and I have not been able to go abroad to get some warmth into my body. Maybe I will be able to go somewhere in the new year. Believe it or not -
I have started thinking about Christmas. I often do in September and then that sort of wears off as all the advertising and goings-on surrounding it starts!

...but with darkness
and clear skies
we start lookin out
for the Northern Lights!

Thank you Greta, I thought you might like it. I was inspired by your harsh Icelandic winters.

Gretta, I saw a post you wrote on another site about Lazy Town. Thank you for the information. My children are in love with this show as am I. It is a huge hit in the USA. Do you know of a site in Ice Land where I can find out more information about the original show? I know a little bit. I've read it started there as a cartoon. I've seen a picture of the hero in that series and he looks different from the Sportacus we see here. Ours wears a number 10 and yours has a number 9. Plus Robbie said something about not another on in one of the earlier episodes here and I'd love to know the whole story. If you have time my email is sandcastle1997@yahoo.com
Love your blog!!
